Overview:
Let’s get specific! We are focusing on specific issues our LDM staff and community of educators have discovered among our struggling students. Mathematics can be fun and engaging when students understand the foundations and new concepts like exponents and more. This one-day workshop will focus on expressions and equations. We’ll explore ways to help students know and apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions.

Learning Objectives:
● Incorporate strategies to teach and solidify student understanding of numerical expressions,
● Generate language that helps students digest and apply new information, and
● Explore expressions and equations for a foundation for AP® level math.
