Overview:
Transitioning from Algebra to geometry is complex. Learn how to help empower your students with the tools and techniques they need to successfully transition and thrive in geometry. This one-day workshop will help teachers develop strategies to help students apply mathematical equations to real life scenarios and show educators how to incorporate technology, software and physical models into their lesson plans.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:
● Understand congruence and similarity using physical models, transparencies, and/or geometry software,
● Understand and apply the Pythagorean Theorem, and
● Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving volume of cylinders, cones, and spheres.
